The chip advances the photonic-electronic co-integration on the zero-change CMOS platform. It has three individual experiments which have optical frontends attached to custom analog drivers resp. receivers as well as a digital control part. Additionally, the space on top and in the middle is occupied with new optical and electrical structures.
This is a follow up chip of Abel.
