The DEC (Digital ECho) is a Sparse Coefficient Finite Impulse Filter, for audio applications. It can process 16-bit stereo audio signals with a maximum sampling frequency of 48kHz.
In addition to the sound effects obtainable through the FIR, samplling and playback function has also been implemented on the chip. Teh chip is programmable through RS-232 interface, which also allows the samples to be transmitted to a host PC.
