The IC realizes a heavily duty-cycled, therefore ultra-low average power wake-up receiver for an UWB-radio at 4GHz input frequency. It contains an LNA, a variable RF gain-stage and a squaring decoder to decode OOK-signals at a rate in the kbps range. The digital part provides a majority detection logic for increasing the sensitivity, and blocks to program the wake-up message including pre-amble and address..
