This is an implementation of the popular PIC16C5x series of microcontrollers. The chip includes a program memory of 1024 words and features an additional 8-bit multiplier. Since the fabrication technology used does not support EEPROMs, the chip includes a small boot loader routine in a ROM. The boot loader is able to load the instructions into the internal memory from an external EEPROM during startup.
