This 8-channel EEG/ECG/EMG/EOG data acquisition chip shares its analogue circuitry with its predecessor Cerebro v3 while its digital signal processing has been extended. It provides full reconstruction of the DC-connected signal, mains interference cancellation, high-pass and low-pass filtering (if desired) and a configurable output data-rate between 200 and 4k samples per second. Furthermore, a compressed sensing (CS) encoder optimized for ECG signals is included to dramatically reduce the data-rate in telecare applications.
The logo is inspired by Homer Simpson, and depicts a widely available picture from the internet. This ties to the fact that the original Cerebro chip had a brain as its logo. This in turn was partly due to the fact that the chip was meant (among others) for EEG measurements.
