The string compararing unit is able to compare two strings which is entered sequentially in a byte-wise fashion. The capacity of this chip is limited to 10 bytes, but multiple SCU's can be chained together to match arbitrarily long strings.
The chip generates one equality bit per byte, and a match all signal if all the bytes match. The special byte '0xFF' is used as a wildcard and will match any other character as well.
