This chip is the first step in a project that aims to develop low-power embedded processor for bio-medical applications. This chip implements the core of the PIC-24 processor. This design will be used as a benchmark for investigating potential low-power improvements.
The name Dicle is the Turkish name for the river Tigris which starts close to Ahmed's hometown. The goal is to make two other versions of the chip, which will be called Firat (Euphrates) and Mezopotamya (Mesopotamia)
