This is the second stage of a project aimed at developing a low-power embedded processor for bio-medical applications, following the chip Dicle.
Firat is the Turkish name for the Euphrates and is closely associated with the earlier chip Dicle (Tigris).
This chip is a collaboration with Telecommunications Circuits Laboratory and Embedded Systems Laboratory of EPFL.
