Description

Yun is the first tape-out of Ara, the RISC-V Vector extension engine to the Ariane (CVA6) core that has been under development for some time. It includes a minimal configuration with four lanes supporting double precision FP with a total of 16 KiB memory inside Ara, the CVA6 processor core with 16KiB caches and a 64KiB SRAM for the system.

The name Yun is a Chinese character for the sun. It also uses the symbol for the four horseman from the movie Now you see me. The logo incorporates all these elements, with the picture of a Macaw (or Ara), the character for Yun and the logo of the four horseman embedded into the 'N'
