This chip implements 4 neurons of a neural network in hardware. The neurons are fully connected in feed-forward mode. Multiple chips can be cascaded or the neurons can be time multiplexed to realize a larger neural network. The learning algorithm is not stored on the chip, all coefficients and updating of the coefficients are done off-chip.
