This chip is part of the spice chips (MoCoMRI2 aka Salt, MoCoMRI3 aka Pepper, Saffron, Espelette, Turmeric) designed to be used in MRI applications.
Nutmeg is an RF front-end for the field probe (modeled as an inductance) which should be used in the final MRI application. It consists of a Power Amplifier to excite a resonant network at 280MHz and reach a differential peak to peak voltage around the probe of 160V with an RMS current flowing into it above 1A, all of that with a low duty cycle. The chip also includes a receiver chain to receive information from the field probe (LNA, Mixer, TIA).
